Matt and Carrie Demmerly began their coffee journey after seeing coffee stands in Colorado. They saw the small stands that offer a drive through service that created a fun and fast experience. When they came to Wisconsin, they wanted to try one for themselves.
Moving forward into their establishment, they assembled a small building. This little 16 by 24 foot shack didn’t have any running water, plumbing, or a bathroom. They started small and started simple. Matt put in many long open to close shifts in order to get the business going. Over time, they were able to add in plumbing, and people really began to cling to this idea the Demmerly’s were so very passionate about.
Matt and Carrie were incredibly specific about sourcing local. They use local dairy, locally sourced coffee, espresso that cannot be beat, and a consistent syrup that serves the community long term. A treat you MUST try on your visit is the perfected blended latte that is a staple to the Coffee Cabin experience.
But even more than the products, Matt and Carrie created connections with the community. They are the most genuine pair of people you will ever meet. Everyone who knows them, loves them. They are kind, funny, hardworking, honest, and live genuine lives of integrity. For that, Marshfield has been truly grateful.
That is where the legacy is important. You are known for just one life. This is theirs, and it lives on through the rest of us who carry on after them. We strive to impact the community in the same way, with the same lives, and that same tasty beverage, topped with that signature bean, and genuine smile.
